3-D Secure
Issuing (ACS)

For extra fraud protection 3-D Secure is designed to protect private customer information. It is an XML-based protocol deployed by Visa in 2001 as authenticated and also adopted by Mastercard as being a fully secure code. It applied to optimize clients’ online credit card payments security. Customers are prompted to enter a password or signature associated with the card sent to their mobiles for data verification. It is a procedure similar to Visa Secure and Mastercard identity check. This code is then passed through the customer’s browser and to the Merchant Plug-In (MPI) which verifies the ACS code. MPI is installed with the related party in order to activate the cardholder interface during the verification process. Then it identifies the essential private data such as account number and card issuer servers to make sure that they are registered on the 3-D secure platform.

Core Advantages

A reduced risk fraud element is provided by adding a security layer to the online credit card transactions. It also boosts clients’ satisfaction and helps to prevent financial expenses as a result of a fraudulent credit card use.
